Backflow occurs when the normal direction of water flow reverses its way, 

due to backsiphonage and backpressure.

Backsiphonage is backflow caused by negative or reduced pressure in the supply piping.

This could happen from high withdraw of water, backsiphonage and water main break.

 

Backpressure may cause backflow to occur whenever a potable system is connected to a

non-potable supply operating under a higher pressure by means of a pump, boiler.

Have you gotten a notice from the City of Calgary telling you that your annual Backflow testing is due?  

We can have one of our certified testers come out and get testing completed for you. 

 

• Completed test report given to you on-site.
